Emily is a fiber and collage artist located in Thomasville, GA.  Having graduated with degrees in Economics and Math, her path to becoming an artist was obvious.  Actually, having two creative parents that encouraged her to be creative from early childhood gave her a sense of self and confidence that had her turning back to art regularly to feel grounded and present.  After a brief career in banking and then becoming a mother, in 2014 Emily opened a sewing and art studio for children to give them the opportunity to learn skills and gain the confidence that she found in making as a child.  For seven years she learned as much as she taught and, after selling her business in 2021, Emily took the plunge and is now a full time artist. She is inspired by street art, architecture, feminism, antiques, and double entendre to create art that primarily explores the idea of identity and belonging.
